Once again I am shocked and appalled at the treatment of our Duck (genuflects politely) on these boards. How you are not all spellbound by this Wordsmith is just beyond comprehension.
Now to answer the question:
Roast Lamb and a leg of ham, sweet potato with grilled marshmallow, waldorf, potato and green salads, duchess potatoes, muffin stuffing and Nigella peas.
Dessert will be Girdlebuster Pie and Fig and Hazlenut Stout cake and maybe a Guinness cake thrown in. I am making four or five icecreams in my new icecream maker to go with these desserts.
No dinner planned in our house.

We are having Chrissy alone this year so I reckon there will be toast & fig jam for brekkie, toasted ham sandwich for lunch & bbq chops for tea. Washed down with copius amounts of DeBortelli Cab Merlot of course.
Us not having kids cuts the options somewhat but it sure does keep the weight down on occasion such as this. lol
I wish you all a safe and very happy Christmas and, please, if you are driving, BE CAREFUL.
Cheers

Do you reckon they will take Ducky into care, he needs some special care at this time of the year, something to do with multiple personalities. ROLF

Xmas lunch,To start we will have baked Pigs Trotter with apple sauce, follwed by Quail eggs and Treacle syrup with minced garlic topping. The main course Traditional Black Pudding dipped in hot chocolate and prune juice. For a sweet I think that this year we are having Spotted Dick covered in freshly ground raw kipper and porridge. As a mark of respect to Disco we have decided that it would not be appropriate to have any kind of poultry.Cheers.Ibbo.

yes Smokey we sure have some weird and wonderful concotions don't we,we call it alternative eating and it also helps us to bond with our food.I know for sure that The Black puddings just did not get along with custard and that is whywe changed to the hot Chocolate and Prune Topping..................Brickies I am sorry mate but the recipies are handed down from generation to generation and are known as "Secret Womens Business".We usually try and find a nice sheltered tree or bridge to have our Christmas lunch.Cheers.Ibbo.

easier to answer with what wont be on the tables! we have folks coming from all corners of aust. and they are all bringing the best from each state! so much waste!
whatever you have just enjoy the day and dont worry too much, try not to get tied up in squabbles and make the day a day for forgiveness, xmas may not stack up to your expectations but just make it a good one
phone up aunty june to apoligise and reinvigorate the family ties, even if it wasnt your fault, if you have a long running feud with someone then chrissy is the best time to say "stuff it come and have a beer"
get what is important back in order, pressys are only "stuff" friends are hard to find when things go a bit pear shape but family is forever, cherish the ones you have left
get back in contact, use this time of year as a time for reconcilliation regardless of what went down, put it behind you and enjoy them while you have them, make it good from now on
vegemite sandwiches to oysters just enjoy the day and make it a happy occasion!
For afters, home made plum pudding and brandy custard and/or Pavlova with cream strawberries and kiwi fruit.
And of course the obligatory bottle of bubbly.
AND....................duck.................................................. well of course NOT
