Saw this on another forum and may be of some interest (was also mentioned "that the report is now complete and will be presented on 15 January 2010 to State Parliament and clubs/owners are being asked to contact their local MP's to support recommendations when they are presented to Parliament").
This is a link to the W.A. Parliament "Inquiry into the Provision, Use and Regulation of Caravan Parks (and Camping Grounds) in Western Australia".

Yep, it was posted by me on CF Neil, couldn't get the link to work properly on their thread, glad it copied ok on you post. Might be worth contacting your local MP to support the report if you agree with it, very long winded but a step in the right direction.

Its time all states addressed the problem, keep the developers out of the van parks.
its only early days of the baby boomers so far
then there are the ones that can afford to hit the road early .
in many places the parks cannot cater now , let alone later
I hate to see v/parks being filled with cabins when there is so many
flats, houses ,units, hotels, to resorts that are half empty a big % of the time.
We addressed this problem at home 3/4 yrs back when council wanted to remove all
van spaces in a top park & fill with cabins ,
this went down like a lead balloon
so far there has been no changes , we have to keep the pressure on the buggers .
A copy of my submission to the council ,i sent to the local paper & it actualy got printed.
Goes to show , there,s a first for every thing .
Made me feel better at the time .
