Fires were at Curramulka, Pine Point, Troubridge Hills and a couple of other places locally. Sunset and smoke together makes for amazing sky

It was reasonably scary , the wind kept changing and there were fires all around, It seems a long way away, but with the crops so full and ripe it was scary. It was such a relief to get the rain

Thanks for the pics Daz. My daughter lives just out of Edithburgh and was packed ready to escape into town. My palms were very sweaty, but there was nothing I could do except pray. Were many crops lost, or just stubble and grass? Those poor buggers over there can't afford too many losses.
