Here in Fantastic Ferntree Gully is was imopossibly uncomfortably humid until a cool change came through about 2.30. Now raining but the first shower was that lovely red dusty rain, gone to steady rain at the moment but still 26'. Very nice after the oppressive stuff this morning.

I'm in Norseman at the moment (2:30 pm) and it is 20deg. I don't mind the temperature, but I WISH IT WOULD STOP RAINING!!!. Strike me pink, I haven't had a fine day since the 9th of November. Thunderstorms every day since (and I'm not exaggerating). Weather report says it should clear tomorrow or the next day - I bl00dy hope so.

Low 30's in Cairns. Not humid yet - well I don't think it's humid yet.
11 yrs in Kimberleys acclimatised me to the tropics.
No rain on the horizon today. Ahhh!
All the best to everyone in the southern heat. Keep up the fluids and stay cool.
The bushfires are a real worry. Take care everyone. Can't do much more than think of you.
Go to the WeatherZone Radar & Storms map and you'll see where all the thunderstorms are.
It looks spectacular by the image.

Thanks Chris for the good advice re the fluids...I think I'll have beer right now.
Re Weatherzone, they've changed the layout of their site...I don't think it's as easy to navigate as the old one.
Temps here today got to 41 on my back patio before a sea breeze came in around lunchtime dropping the temp to low 30s. Humid now with a storm brewing and a few spots of rain, more showing on the radar.

Right now it's 20 degrees inside the house, probably a bit cooler outside and it's cloudy as well.
It's been overcast and raining on and off most of the week except for yesterday when it was very windy (with strong gusts) and raining most of the day.
Since we arrived home last Sunday we've been sleeping with a doona on the bed every night (wooohoooo :).
Cheers

And Perth has already had twice its average rainfall for November! Had to get up at 3am to rummage around for the doona. Quite chilly. Suits me, I dislike hot weather more intensely with each passing year. Cheers, Tony

31degrees here in Moore Park just north of Bundaberg QLD but camped 50mtr from the beach in a caravan park for a couple of weeks so very comfortable with the sea breeze & as an added bonus being lulled to sleep to the crashing sound of waves...life is so hard!

It is now 0545 Saturday morning. The night has been busy but it has been one of those nights weather wise that is a pleasure to be out in. It has cooled down very nicely here in the outer suburbs of Melbourne and we are getting some relief, I believe, over the weekend. Hopefully the fire threat will subside with the temperature.
