That is beautiful. I wasn't lucky enough to see them when I went south from Broome. There were plenty of others to keep me mesmerised. There's a really good gardener over there.
I left Broome in Aug, and I followed the flowers south all the way down to Esperance. Every colour and species, except that one.

They warn against feeding the buggers, but ......
I saw them walking along the beach in knee deep water when the barge left for town.
There were 3 more on the other side where the campers are, near the wreck.
What another amazing place.

Yes Granny a very nice specimen. Took the photo near the coloured sands on an excursion up the beach in 2008. Great place never tire of Fraser.
