I have in my possession an Engel remote thermometer. It comes in 2 parts, 1, the display has the time, 2, Ambient temperatureand 3, Fridge temperature. The other part is the "sender" or transmitter. I have not got any instructions on how to operate this gizmo. I have managed to set the time on the display but don't know what the rest is all about. After putting some batteries in the ambient temperature is showing on the display. I placed batteries in the transmitter put that in the fridge but nothing registered on the display. Am I missing something apart from the instruction book. These things baffle me. Is anyone able to educate me in simple terms how to get it to work.I will be very grateful.
Terry

I assume you have the new wireless jobby in which case I think you have taken a few steps incorrectly
I just had a squizz at engels website and nicked tis little snippett of it and I quote........Please note; It is important to follow the instructions when initially setting these up, install the batteries in the receiver first then the install the batteries in the sender unit. Leave side by side for approximately 20 minutes then place the sender unit in
if I was you I would take the batteries out and begin again using the above as a little guide, if this fails then contact engel or their agent and get the instructions

Thanks for that Dave, I didn't think of going to the Engel web site. Must be losing brain cells very quickly.

G'day Dave, yes mate all is well. I did as you suggested, removed the batteries, replaced them in order sat them next to each other, reset the clock and hey presto!!! Put the sender in the fridge at home and after a while it was registering the temp in the fridge. Excellent result mate. Thank you very much. Now can you help me out with the brain power side of things!!!!!!
