If you feel that your comments will cause ill feeling Brickies, then maybe the old adage of "Least said best mended" is the way to go. I have strong views on another thread posted here this afternoon and you will see from my reply that that is exactly what I have done.

Brickies, you have asked a question that we all either answer or ignore. It is a personal choice to ignore or comment on some subjects that are passed our way.I guess it all comes down to just how you accept other peoples opinions and views.I understand your question and often have the same one myself.Cheers.Ibbo.

You could send the person that you disagree with a private message and try to sort things out that way ??

Daisy and Disco Duck. No the fish do not get bigger or the stories better. It is just that the size of the fish was understated and the storey was not told correctly the first time.
Cheers Jack

A few years back I went fishing off the coast of Northern California (Tomales Bay).
Caught a halibut that big I had to pay excess baggage on the photos!

LOL LOL Well stated Jack. I often wondered if I was prone to exaggeration but now I realise that all this time I was in actual fact understating the original facts and then merely correcting them over a few Yummies!!
Thanks Mate!!

The tragedy of it all is we understand each other most of the time. Scary!
I love this forum because of it's friendly nature, and well-meaning quips.
We are still free to disagree, but let's just express a personal opinion based on experience and feelings, and not lapse into making it a personal jibe.
Personal stuff shoud go directly to the intended recipient via PM.
The rest of us don't want to read about it, because it can be upsetting and at time I personally get embarrassed, especially if one of the parties gets the wrong end of the stick publicly. No tension here. Just keep sharing.

how do you react when you are face to face with a person, aggresion doesn't happen because of the respect instilled with an eye to eye contact, forums are different, a lot of rubbish is thrown around and a lot of crap aimed at certain people, if it happened "out there" face to face then a punch in the snout would be the result thats why it is never done, in here anonymous bravado prevails
if I get remarks chucked at me on more than one occasion I will snap back and i will do it publicly, the idea is to not make a statement ambiguous in the first place, respect for the other person is the key, however after making my feelings known I then forget it
this is no more than I do on an everyday occasion, I deal with a lot of people so I know just a little about talking to folks, some on these forums could benefit from external exposure from time to time
