dad and I had a nice drive from nowra to Condobolin NSW, About a 5hr drive, I did most of the driving, some of the roads leading here are a bit dicey but we took our time, had to make a few pit stops for Ben the dog. dads gone down to the river to try his luck then tomorrow were going to look at the house where dad and mum lived for a few years when first married, before kids etc, around the late fifties , then back home Monday or Tuesday. Had some wet weather on the way but today nice day bar the slight chill in the air..

Hi Milo hope dad catch's a couple of nice fish for dinner. relax and enjoy. If you get a chance check out 'gumbed lake' 4'ks out of town, supposed to be a nice spot for camping, free toilets, showers, bbq's etc. big artificial lake all landscaped. Haven't been there but have heard it's real good.

We stopped at Gum Lake on our way home over a week ago; was a great spot, but the lake has no water, there is no grass, and we experienced a dust storm while there; there were tumbleweeds blowing everywhere. What a night. BUT it was obvious that it is a great free camp; there were two other vans there the same night as us. Certainly made us appreciate rain when we got home to the green Lower South East of Australia!!!!! We also stopped to look at Lake Cargegillo, it was obvious there that noone has used the boat ramp there for years, although there was some water in lake. Our 14th grandchild arrived on Friday, Zoe Violet, she is so gorgeous , I was so pleased we arrived home in time to meet her. Cheers Colleen
