I noticed an earlier post expressing concern about The Crusin' Granny. She is ok, just having internet access problems & hopes to be back on line this week.
cheers .. G

Aw thanks guys. Yeah, I'm ok but Bigpond isn't - well my wireless USB "device" changed it's serial number overnight and cut me off. Two weeks and a lot of heated phone calls later I'm back, I hope.
I think I taught the Philipino Parrots some new English they may not have heard before, and it's certainly not on their Technical Support "Script".
What an insult to Australian Telstra Bigpond customers. I told them so on their recorded service. What are Telstra shares worth now anyway? Cheers Chris

Hi Chris you are back, Good old Telstra!!!!!!!! Been there done that with them. They are the worst company to deal with, so glad to hear you are well and looking forward to reading your posts if Telstra behaves itself. Are you still in Cairns?

Telstra Badpond? Don't get me started. In the last week I've spent 2 hours then 1.5 hours then 3 hours trying to sort out my Wireless Next G service with part of that time trying to bypass the automated Tech support and of course going through a number of Indonesians till finally finding one that I could understand. And I STILL can't get the modem to successfully transmit wirelessly to my & Hylda's computers (yes we do have a laptop each) I think the new Bigpond modem will be taken to the next Telstra store we see, as my guess is that's the problem, but then we may be without a modem while they send it away to be fixed, which means we have to stay close by for that time.
Also on top of that I spent another hour on the phone (thankfully we use Skype phone so was cheap & comfortable) trying to set up onine payment as they finally realized they had spelt my first name wrong so on line registration wouldn't recognize me.
Anyone got 2 tin cans and a piece of string handy...anything would be better than Telstra for communications.

A couple of well-fed pigeons maybe?
I can hear a Torres Strait Pigeon in the tree above my van calling for a mate.
It's a mournful "wooo" which only a lady TI pigeon could be attracted to. It doesn't sound very romantic to me.
Yep, bring on the pigeons. Cheap too. No, C H E A P, not cheep. Pigeons don't cheep, do they? Cheers Chris
