In the hills to the west of Fingal Bay there is currently a large bushfire, running uncontrolled with a stiff westerly behind it.
The township has been put on notice to evacuate.
The NSWFB currently have six pumpers there and numerous RFS tankers committed.
Hope all goes well there to anyone who is there.
Fingal Bay is an area, I am told, with one way in and one way out, not a good idea anywhere really.

Hi Linda .. just the way the weathers been shaping up, I fear that we are in for a dramatic summer season .. at least here on the East Coast ..
I certainly hope to be out and about before too long .. and will be keeping a close watch on the National Weather .. for my own sake and for all ..

Hi Linda.I am at North Arm Cove which is north of Fingal Bay.The smoke from the fires are very evident. We have only the one road out of here, and if things ever get serious I dread to think what would happen.Probably wish I had a camel.lol.Cheers.Ibbo.

Yeah guys, nice place but a bit of a rough spot at the moment.
Ibbo, just remember the Great Eastern Fire Break........the Pacific Ocean mate.
If you have to leave, leave early, you can always come back mate.
