My wife spotted an article in the Melbourne Herald-Sun some time ago  about a husband and wife, both with a terminal disease, and they sell up and buy a 'van to travel around Australia....a book was written of their travels/tribulations....I lost the article but wifey wants to read the book or what has happened to this couple....does anyone know the name of this book???.....would appreciate any offerings..

It sounds like a very profound story. Welcome to the nomads Peter. I travel despite a couple of chronic health issues. Whenever possible I visit a doctor when I need my prescriptions updated and get as many repeats as possible. I carry a comprehensive medical file which contains a summary of everything set up by my doctor. It also contains optical history, and medical image reports ie xrays, CT scans, MRI's and similar. I also carry the images because the clinic where they were stored had no further use for them when I left town. If you want to travel and your condition and medication and treatment don't compromise your driving ability and alertness, or other motorists' safety, I don't see why you can't take to the road. Whether it be short term, between appointments, or long term, just do it. There are medical services all over this country, quality of service is subject to change from state to state - but that's another issue. Most of my issues were diagnosed in WA, but now in Qld further investigation has resulted in more comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. My health issues aren't strictly terminal, but they could be if I didn't take the pills and look after myself within my capabilities. If it all gets too much, you can park up for a while to have a long rest while receiving treatment, or you could find a place to settle again, knowing you have achieved some of your travel dreams. Whatever you do look after each other for as long as you can, and enjoy safe and happy travels. I'll keep travelling as long as I can get up and down my caravan steps. Cheers Chris

In answer to your question, I'd like to be able to say I have heard about them. The only ones that come to mind are the Peasleys that departed WA about (2) years ago and I'm trying to find out what happened to them as well ..
