We are hitting the road on Saturday heading for Adelaide, it's the Mother in Law's 94 birthday on Sept 1 so we need to be there for that, then it is on up to Uluru for a few days visit and then slowly back to WA in time for xmas with the family. I can't wait to get going and finally leave all this wet and cold Perth weather behind.
Regards to all John

Safe and happy travels to you. Keep one eye in the rear vision mirror so you can prepare for the idiot approaching from behind.
Take care and enjoy yourselves. Cheers Chris

Won't you be in your blue beast Dave?
How long did you say you were off for mate?

no not this time, we decided to take the magna up, we were going to go up in just tents but thankfully we settled for the camper trailer
we are meeting a lot of folks up there who are travelling from all over and have never camped or travelled before so should be an interesting 2 weeks
we will leave here on the 31 august and hopefully stay at coober pedy for one night (reba's underground) from there it is free camping just out of uluru national park boundaries for a day or two maybe three, then on to alice for a while and stay just out of alice in a free camp or two
slowly make our way back taking a squizz at all the "touristy" stuff, all up about two weeks will do it
the trailer can hold more gear than the camper so we can cater for a greater number of folks under our awning

Cheers Dave will keep the peepers open, will be driving a blue Falcon Wagon towing a 15 foot white Jayco Songbird. If we manage to see you will certainly say g'day and will bring a few ales as well.

Sounds nice Dave, hope you have a ball, well I know you will have a ball for sure.
We tented all the way four years back but I do like that mattress comfort I have to admit.
