Had an operation on both feet Monday and am laid up for the next 2 weeks.
2 days in and i'm bored S#$%$less.
Daytime TV has got to be the pits.

Will use the time  to go  through posts I missed while away.

You have only just made that discovery re daytime TV????? night time tv is I assure you not much better....
Just for the voyeurs amongst us what did you have done to your feet? are you in excruciating pain? and can we assume you have private health insurance and are in a hospital with internet access?

good god Gary you should be ashamed 1/2 hour back at work and now you have another two weeks off, how is the economy supposed to recuperate at theis rate t.v. in all it's entirity is rubbish, I cant stand the dribble

Wait till they get all 26 ch up and running then you will really know the pits of despair. After a week of day time TV by Friday you are either homicidal of suicidal. It;s like they sense you can't get away and play all the old re-runs and crap they buy to get on half decent movie in a package deal . Hope your feel better soon, rest while you can

I am a pensioner with private health extras, eg dental, optical, physio, chiro, massage etc. It's certainly worth my while, but I don't think hospital cover is justified. It's a huge amount of money to pay, and if you're "electing" to have surgery you still wait until there's a bed, and pay a lot on top. As a public patient I have to wait for a bed, but if it's urgent, life threatening, you'll get a bed sooner rather than later. The country's health system is crap! Dental and optical should be included in the public health system. Dental health plays a very important part in our overall health. If glasses are necessary to function safely day by day then it should be included. The price of frames is an absolute crock! I can't justify paying $500 for a frame. There are cheaper options but you get what you pay for. My last trip to Brisbane demonstrated how bad it is. Having to wait for an available bed in spite of being booked in and flying in from the country is a perfect example. I believe the people who make these decisions are not affected by the decisions they make, and therefore don't have a clue about what happens in the streets below their ivory towers. Oops, sorry folks. I'm rambling again. It's just so frustrating! Cheers Chris
