The six man tent has been dusted off and aired, the sleeping bags as well. No luxury for us this weekend as we go off camping to Double Island Point.
Mick is looking forward to it, as a few of the old army buddies and thier wives are also going. I have already organised a 'few" bottles of sparkling, just for medicinal purposes of course!
Actually it has been so long since we have been tent camping I am looking forward to it, and I also plan to outdo the guys fishing as I did last time!!

You go girl! Reel 'em in and have a great weekend. Camping is a liberating experience.
Isn't that when the blokes are supposed to do the cooking?
Enjoy anyway. Cheers Chris

nothing wrong with the old tent or swag, just as long as you are out amongst it, a couple bottles of "medicinal" wine will stave off the chill

Thanks Chris, I plan on giving the blokes a run for thier money thats for sure. Last time I had the greatest of pleasure watching them catch nothing and laughing at me with my "wrong set up" (not a surf rod) but I was the last one laughing when they dined on my fish for dinner that I caught on my wrong set up
Exactly right Dave. A bit of a camp fire and good company with a view that would cost a fortune if you stayed in a swanky resort, life can be sweet my friend. We do live in a beautiful country

not only a beautiful country but the best on earth, me and you could not afford that view if we had to buy it, good luck with your fish feeding expedition
talking of views Ellen, the one in your avatar, is it coming around sarah island In Tassie, on the gordon river cruise, if not hell it's so familiar I swear I've been there
we were toying with taking a mob up to uluru in tents during august but with the dragons house hunting scheme we will not be going this year, shifting instead probably, of course we chickened out of the full tent "experience" and opted for a camper trailer, oh well maybe next year, too much going on this year, little R.J. would get cold in the camper trailer and I'm going nowhere without her!!

You got that right Dave, it is the best on Earth.
As for my avatar picture, nope mate not Tassie. It is a little place called Coochiemudlo Island of the Brisbane coast. It is where we call home. That picture was taken by Mick as we were going across to the mainland one morning of the sun rise on our way to work. And if you have not seen it Dave, your welcome to come any time you like for a visit and see it's beauty yourself
Cheers Ellen

Dave, would never be sorry to have you visit
Well the camping trip was fantastic. A bit windy but we had a blast. A nice bonfire to keep us warm, great company, food and drink, it was over too soon.
As for the fishing....... I had a lovely time feeding the little blighters. But at least I was getting bites, the others didn't even bother getting thier rods wet.
