I hope soon to be like some of you and moving around, we have a 17.6 van and live in the South Burnett area and we are wondering if there is a site with some more free camps as we already have the camps book and just looking at more areas. Is there anything around Hervey Bay or the Fraser Coast area. I really like Burrum Heads for its peace.
Thanks Lynn

And a very cold morning again in Kingaroy. 5.3 at 8.13am. We used to visit a small place near Maryborough in QLd called Burrum Heads for many years but have not been there lately, I hope things are still quite peaceful. Only a couple of shops and a bakery, butcher, fish and chips, pharmacy and fuel. The essentials. $24 is about average for camping.

Just lately I've found a mate for your black mongrel Dave.
It's all this waiting without making miles is just so frustrating, and making me cranky.
I'll get over it.
While SA is my home state, and I'm parked up in Cairns at the moment, my heart is really in the Kimberleys, and WA is my fave state. I like the lifestyle and attitude there.
Go where your bullbar leads you. Whatever you do, do it safely.
Welcome to the Grey Nomads Forum Coe Couple. Cheers Chris

yep Kimberleys for me as well, but south aus comes a damn close second, thats why I will never leave it, very few people, plenty of free camping in magnificent places, the mighty Murray, mountains, rivers, streams, ocean, souring cliffs, the deserts, the outback, the all powerfull, all conquering mighty adelaide crows "GO CROWS" what more could one ask for, except for the canadian rockies, my dream home
and I must apoligise to you Lynn for not welcoming you to the forum, so a big old welcome be to you from all us here, good luck with the free camping
Thanks Lynn
