If you are like me and have 1000's of these what do you do with them? Son says Dad get a slide scanner and put them onto DVD.....Time passes.... Then I notice that next Thursday ALDI has these gadgets for $99!!!!! The have some other goodies too like the wooden train set and the Amphibious tank that look fun and the 500GB external hard drive looks just the shot to store my slides on....... Guess who will be at ALDI next thurs at Dawn?

That colour slide scanner sounds good Basil, I had some years ago that I wanted to put on disk and they wanted a fortune to do it.
We don't have Aldi in the West, are they available elsewhere that you know of?
Thanks
Vic

Yes - we've also got thousands of slides, including many from our first trip around Oz in 1974 when a digital camera meant 5 left digits holding the camera and one right digit to take the picture!
Sounds like a great gadget Basil, do you get commission from ALDI for recommending their products and do we get a discount if we mention that ''Basil sent us"?

Basil ...
Thanks for the tip on the slides..... Got a lot including lots of wedding & honeymoon (& many more) It will be a great surprise for SWMBO to be able to produce an album and a 'photo story' clip next aniversary (42yrs).
ps. I have an ALDI computer on my bike. Got it several years ago for around $12 & subjected it to the elements. Still going well.

Have had one that came with my flat bed scanner some years back and did the same thing put them onto my computer desktop then burnt them to disc .
If you have a photo enhancement program you can also improve the colour before burning to CD, over time slides fade

Question without notice
Do you need to remove the slide from it's mount to scan or is it able to scan as is

Scan in the mount, gizmo has different guides for slides and negatives...
