A mate tells me that he got his $900 ruddybonus less $100. Seems his Tax Agent helped himself to a legitimate fee to "pass on" the payment....

Lucky bugger to get anything My advice , get a new tax agent it should be regarded as part of your tax return and as such be paid into your bank account as per the other tax returned monies. Ring the tax office for fee confirmation and if right then have your local member raise the issue with the appropriate minister. Bad enough the government ripping you off but when they allow tax agents to get in on the act then we are buggered

My Mate has made enquiries and this practise is entirely legal as the money was sent from the ATO it is considered to be a "Tax Refund" (Oh yeah fuel up the pigs for a long flight) as it was also sneakily paid only to those who had lodged a return and had paid tax. Apparently yout tax agent can take the whole lot under some circumstances eg if you owe the taxman. Now my wife lodged a return but did not pay tax as her pittance is below the threshhold and a few other women I know though they earn heaps missed out on the $900 because they choose not to pay tax.....

Maybe something to keep in mind next time you fill out a tax return or do it online....

I paid a **** load of tax and got nothing back. So to all those on the dole or collecting sole parent payments just remember it's silly buggers like me who you owe thanks to not Mr Rudd

In most cases the mother will always win out even if she is the one who took off with another person . There are good a bad on both sides of this penny but it's always the father who pays up big time. Have a mate who has three kids and came home one day find the kids in the bedroom and she's gone, the Dear John letter stated she need to pursue her legal career and a family just didn't fit into her plans. Two years down the track the legal career is done with, now in the family court seeking to get the kids back , and looks like winning. Not so much as a cent to raise those kids or one request for contact over that period and the court just isn't interested in any of those documented facts.

That black mailing crap the parents play only really ever hurts the poor, innocent children. They miss out on dad time, hear all the disagreements, and have no control over any of it. Consequently the grandies miss out on Granny and Poppa time, and you miss out on the kids. I have 3 children by 2 fathers, 1 by husband #1, 2 by partner #2, who I had to leave to preserve my personal safety and the safety. Their dad was always encouraged to spend time with them, and our eldest lived with him for a few years until her broke up with the partner after me. He is always their dad. He wasn't violent with them, only his partners. I received no child support. My kids love me anyway. Things are not always as they seem, but when the kids suffer I get cranky. When people stand in judgement over things they know nothing about ,I also get cranky. There are the scammers out there using the system for their benefit, but the kids don't usually benefit, unfortunately. It's not an ideal world, and sometimes we just have to accept that.
