Hi We have just purchased a brand new second hand back loading Rhino-Rack boat loader.....and of course there are no instructions for fitting; and though the Captain is very handy, it would be nice to have a little bit of extra help. Does anyone have these instructions or has been clever enough to find them on a website. Rhino have the PDF instructions for their new side loading unit on their website, but not the previous back loader.

I don't have but I seem to recall I had a video showing the operation which may also show how to fit the unit . I think TJM the 4WD specialist are the agents for Rhino racks they may be able to help out

Jeez you're a hard man Dave!
Some like to use the "instructions" and don't have the technical know-how or tools to do these jobs.
Not everyone is as resourceful as you.
A mate built his own and it had an electric remote control to make it a one-man operation.
All I know is he backed the truck to the back of the tinny, hooked the cable to the bow loop, put a block under the tow hitch to stop the tinny sliding under the truck.
Then press the go button with due care, and before you know it you have a tinny on the rack on the roof.
It looked simple to me, but I wasn't there for the installation to make it work so smoothly.
Good luck! Granny

Les reads the instructions to what ever he buys, puts them somewhere safe, then about 6 months to 3 years later when he wants to use it he can't find it. This is a typical scenario in our house. So Les will try and put it together without the book first...but I end up searching the Internet until I find it, or one day while sorting for something else I find it. So as you can imagine we have lots of boxed unused items...lol I just wish he'd put the instructions back in the box...
