I have just raced outside with a camera, "Why" you ask !!! Because it's raining here in Sunny Perth,
"Yep" first rain for the year, well actually it's more like a heavy short Drizzle, now the sun is trying to break through the clouds and the Humidity is rising by the second,
At present it's a sticky 24c "UCK" , "Oh Well" it may help to knock the bush fire ( down South ) on the head.
Sorry no pictures of the rain, it stopped before I could get batteries into the camera.!!!

43 C by 3.00 pm today. Had to go out in it to do a bank transfer to pay for new house in Tassie. My temperature went up way beyond that when the teller added an extra zero to make it $3.6 MILLION. One of his superiors had to be called on to fix up the bungle. All's well that ends well anyway. Hope the mob at Greens didn't suffer too much with the heat.

I used to have to go from Brisbane to Perth monthly for a few years.
One thing that struck me as strange was the early MORNING thunder storms. In Brisbane, our thunder storms arrive in the afternoons. Very rare to have a morning storm.

I knew that you got it wrong ..
During my Perth trips, I had to partake in Tuesday morning national teleconferences that usually started at 8am Sydney time. To accommodate me they delayed start till 9am. But this was still 6am Perth time during daylight saving months.
So I would go thru all my early morning ablutions with occasional commentary from me, including flushing sounds etc. After changing batteries on my Analogue mobile, the teleconferences would finish up after breakfast when the TAXI arrived to take me to work. Interesting that they didn't appreciate my requests for assistance in choosing breakfast from the buffet. The day would usually end with a restaurant dinner with local customers or colleagues, at around 10 PM. I needed to achieve a certain number of these 'networking meetings' for my performance reviews.
Tough life. They got their monies worth out of me though!
Boy, don't I remember time difference issues! (and the dinners).

In Townsville at the moment it is a mildly sticky 23degrees and we have had 45mm of rain. Good old Winston is still circulating to our north east and bringing in nice bands of rain. Unfortunately it is not falling in the dam catchment area where our dam is only around 20 % and unless we receive a large amount we will probably move to level 3 water restrictions.
