• The Royal Family were outraged the Prince was involved with her.
• She was a divorcee and therefore was excluded from court.
• The Princes father died and he ascended to the throne.
• The now King wanted to marry her but she was a divorcee. She fled to France.
• So he could marry her, the King abdicated.
• She is Wallis, Duchess of Windsor (previously Wallis Simpson and Wallis Spencer, born Bessie Wallis Warfield.
