After predicting rain for Perth for the last week, it looks like we will finally get a drop or two,
there's light drizzle falling at the moment, just enough to cover the ground, B.O.M. says we can expect around 20mm over night,
we'll wait and see !!!

I arrived at Lake Elphingstone today and before long it was blowing a gale. Then it got so cold I had to get out of shorts and t-shirt and into longs and winter shirt.
Now it's raining. I'm going to bed to read a book. Feel sorry for the couple camped next door to me in a tent.

A cold zero in Ballarat after -3 yesterday. Odd thing is there is no wind and no sun. Usually low temps turn into either a nice sunny day or an horrific biting wind. Still, I'd rather be here than Canberra.

It's 18 degrees at the moment in The Gemfields, going up to 25 degrees today. 55 % humidity and will go down to 8 degrees overnight. Can't get much better than that. Couple of nights ago it did get down to 3 deg overnight.

In Ballarat it's not what was forecasted - yet. Just taken the dogs for a walk. The "feels like" temp is -1. However there is no snow, frost, rain or wind. Just high cloud. No noise other than birds singing (magpies, kookaburras, crows, rosellas). We've so far escaped all the crappy weather forecast for this part of the planet. Just 2mm rain in last 24 hours.

We are at Miners Rest close to the airport, so don't bother with a rain gauge any more Spiderman. At the airport there has been 15mm in the last bit over 24 hours.

Been crap since about noon. I'm due east of the airport near the cemetery so whatever you get, we get very soon afterwards. Trying to pack the van to head out tomorrow for the week. Not easy in this rain. Either Mildura or Broken Hill via Managatang. Neither looks fantastic but brilliant compared to staying at home.

We were lucky Spiderman, we left on the 2nd to Adelaide for business and family visit then up to Clare and meanded along home arriving 4pm yesterday. Should have come home via Qld!!! 10 days of good weather. Not enough sunshine for the amount of solar panels we have BUT the newly installed diesel heater is a rippa.
