Hot and very windy here at Jericho. I notice no one parks down by the water now, maybe because the wind is stirring up the dust. We are all back up on the short grass further back.

Currently 25 degrees this afternoon at 2.10pm. Last night we sat around our camp fire, the diesel heater had the van up to 20, this morning was about 8 outside at 7.00 am. Perfect day to be at a Vintage Tractor Pull weekend.

Its the best day for a long time here in Maclean NSW. 26 degrees & just glorious.
Showers forecast for tomorrow, so only time will tell.
Catching up on some reading after our trip, & just enjoying the warmth.
You don't realise how good the climate is here, till you actually live here.
If you haven't visited Maclean, turn off the highway & stay at the show ground $10pvpn unpowered with toilets & potable water. Great views over the river & amazing sunsets with the bridge in your photo. The caravan park in River St next to the BP, is also handy to everything & only has about 4 sites. Try the fish from the Seafood shop & great coffee at Botero's. You will love Maclean.

We were there too. Parked on the hill with our group of motorhomers.
The weather was really kind as I'm sure you would agree & the males of the group loved all the mechanical things.
The girls browsed the markets, had coffee, lunch & dinner round the camp fire & just talked about all things important.
We all had a great weekend. Thank you Coolatai.

Had some drizzle yesterday for about 30mins, just enough to close the roof hatches a little but nothing to write home about, um, I am home. Home is where my van is.

Melbourne is fine today but quite windy, so everyones awnings and annexes are flapping round and rocking the vans a bit. But the small camp we're staying at in Berwick looks like a laundry as we're all trying to get our washing dry. It you believe the tarot cards that BOM use here, its supposed to be showers for most of the forthcoming week and its pretty cold, so its hard to dry wet stuff. Thank god we have an electric heater and hang all the towels etc off the bench and point the heater at them from about 3-4pm when temps really wind down.
Sometimes we have had to use the launderette in Berwick - but don't like feeding machines $2 coins and standing there waiting for it all to dry.

Minus 1 in Benalla last night. I use the thickness of the ice on my birdbath as a gauge of coldness. This morning 8 mm of ice (bruised my hand trying to break through it). Love my recently acquired gas log fire. A row of below zero nights coming up. BRRRR.

Ballarat Today. Min 1, Max 6. Currently 2.4. Feels like -2.2. No frost though.
About to pack my trike & trailer to go camping at the Mildura Motorcycle Complex for the long weekend. However with some of the best campfires and plenty of anti-freeze in the veins, I'm looking forward to it.
