Clear and hot in Perth this morning, Thur 12/3 expecting 35c today,
things are going to change dramatically over the next few days when Cyclone Olwyn comes to town

Warm and humid here at Seabird while we wait for Cyclone " Whatever" to reach us. It is moving quite fast and is forecast to track down the coast, hopefully it will blow out before getting this far south. It has just started to rain but isn't too heavy just yet. According to BOM the eye is up near Kalbarri but there is a band of rain a few hours ahead of the main storm.
Been away house sitting and did the dash home this morning to make sure everything is packed up and no missiles left lying around for the wind to find. The family we were housesitting for are heading home today as well. We made sure their place in Perth was all secure before we left.

Victoria has given us a mixed bag of weather. Hot humid nights and other nights cold enough for a doona. Currently, (Mallee country) more pleasant and a warmer night. Maybe no doona tonight.

At present we are on our way home, spending a few days in Kalbarri { about an hours drive North of Geraldton } on the West Coast,
The Weather here is Humid as all get-out, 58% at present, overcast and a forecast for Thunder storms starting Friday, just in time for the Easter Break.
Did I mention the Flies, Millions of the little Perishers, the type that go for the eyes and can side step every swat you chuck at them,
heading South to Cliff head North for a free camp in a few days time, before returning home sometime in the near future,
Any Grey Nomads going to Cliff Head North and wanting to share Happy Hour ???

Beautiful day it looks like here in Boonah, very welcome after flooding rains over the weekend - roads flooded and closed, sounded like someone had turned a tap on full bore!!
Son was in Newcastle for Easter, left there at 9.30am yesterday, got to Canberra at 4.30pm - said it was like driving through a river! He was in his Gemini panel van, been to a car show, hopefully a bit better today, so they can get back to Melbourne safe.

Raining all day from Greens Lake to Urana (north of Greens and east of Narrandera). Not heavy rain but all the locals are happy and those sown paddocks will be too.
Beautiful blue skies with a hint of cloud. Nice gentle breeze on my back deck. Just perfect for breakfast (Lunch & Dinner) sitting in the sun.
19 to 23 today & 21 at my place at 5.30pm.
Kayaks loaded on to the Patrol ready to shoot off just down the road to Tallebudgera Creek CP on the Gold Coast next week ... After the school holidays & the expected weekend showers.
Best time of the year in SE Qld.
