Good work..
She wrote numerous poems and novels, but is best known for "My country" which she wrote whilst in England and was first published there in 1908 under the name "Core of my Heart"
Most people start the poem with what is actually the second stanza.
That photo was taken shortly after she received her OBE, and just before her death in a Randwick nursing home on the 14th January 1968

GEEEZZ Brian, I thought this one might have you guys a bit stumped. Google sure makes it easy huh..
Andrej Pejic, a famous androgynous model from Australia, who turned upside down the entire fashion world. Apparently, the great designers don't request female models anymore, they are quite obsolete, they only require Andrej Pejic's assistance, since he can do them both...and so well.

I have to admit that I had no idea who, or what he was either, but my wife saw the pic and said "Oh, that's that girly boy model pejik or something" so that gave me a starting point. I must say after looking at some of his?? promotional pics and an interview video, that he makes a very lovely girl, even the voice is right, but the boss is adamant that he has boy lips.

I saw this lot down in Prahran when I lived in Melbourne back in the 70s. Great band, but had a lot of transitional members.
He had a bloody great beard then, but I'm pretty sure it's Matt Taylor

Yep .. Matt Taylor ... great group, great music, good blokes ... and if ya saw the Long Way to The Top roadshow back about 10 years ago they were still "Remembering when they were young" ... and as good as ever.
I have been to quite a few Phil Manning solo sessions over the last few years ... still one of the greatest guitarists this country has produced.
OK .. let's get another one Brian.
cheers - John

Starting to stretch my resources.
Another cricketing legend.
Gday...
I'll hazard a guess it's Bill Lawry ??
Cheers - John
No..This bloke was English, but famous in Australia.
Jack Hobbs..
No... Sir John was earlier and played about 3 times as many tests as this guy, but they did know each other pretty well..
Victor Trumper..
Nope.... I'm not likely to put Victor up twice in a row...Although I may be that sneaky.
This guy was pretty much "on the nose" in Australia at the time.
Gday...
HMMMM ... perhaps Douglas Jardine ?
Cheers - John
