Just gorgeous here in the East Kimberley. High 20's during the day, need a couple blankets at night. Lake Argyle had a nice little breeze of a day which is missing in Kununurra.... but we still love it here...

We spent the day trudging in Gregory National Park today... now back at Timber Creek (NT). We were certainly hot and dusty out there, but boy its beautiful!!! The warm days cool to a lovely night of about 14 degrees... .

Cooktown - beautiful day - tropical winter 21 degrees C at 9:30am - sunshine - some wind so out at sea choppy - river good. Yesterday fully booked in town. We do have an RV 48 hour area - to obtain permit, park at Cook Shire Council for quick vehicle inspection (for compliance) before parking at the Rest Area on Adelaide Street. Permits available from Cook Shire Council Monday Friday, 9am 4pm. Fee $5 per night, 48 hour permit only. RVs must be fully self contained with grey water and black water tanks inbuilt into the vehicle. Have an RV Event this year Monday July 28 to August 4 at the Cooktown Racecourse - see shire website.

Lovely weather here at Mt Bundy Station (Adelaide River) around 32-34deg every day. Seems to be getting warmer but cooler nights. Here for 5 days then down to Alice Springs where it's only around 20deg and very cold at night - still better than home (Portland).

Great weather in Uralla/Walcha this morning, 5.30 am travelling to Walcha in heavy sleet and snow, blowing a gale and hit a roo then to top it off one wiper blade decided to pop off, great start to the day. Retiring in 8 weeks, cant wait to go somewhere warm, above 0 at least.

Why would Southern's bother to come to the 'warmer climes of Qld'?? On Bribie Island - Bongaree - this morning we had 5 degs with strong westerly winds that damn near blow you off your feet. Decided to give bowls a miss this morning and do my ironing instead, but let's face it, the bowls would get blown off course and not end up where you wanted them to go, and it's warmer in the house with the heater on doing the ironing!!! At the moment can't think of anything better to do - such a sad state of affairs. Think we should be around 20 deg today, but the wind chill will certainly not make it feel that warm.

Beautiful weather here in Alice Springs sunny, clear skies around 25deg during the day and 5deg at night. No mossies, midgies or flies not like at the top end.
3 - 19 today. Clear blue sky, with a chilly westerly wind. Nice sitting in the warmth of the car though.
Apparently Brisbane was the coldest capital city this morning at 6 degrees.
Yay!!! here in Ballarat we made double figures today, even though we were nearly blown away!!!
