When you figure out who he is - I betcha know him
But - in the meantime, here's a clue -
This heartthrob was born in 1943 in Sydney but spent his early years on his grandparents' farm in western New South Wales. He was given a nickname during his football days at primary school which stuck with him throughout his life.

The clue means nothing to me John, I'm a Queenslander. He's only 2 years younger than me, so maybe it's just my memory at fault.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Never heard of Peter Mayle, and although I feel I should know this one, my brain won't kick in.

I offer the following -
Timmy Martin is a fictional character portrayed by child actor Jon Provost in the long-running television series Lassie (19541973). Provost debuted in the first episode of the fourth season, "The Runaway" (1957), as the fictional foster child of farm woman Ellen Miller. Both the character and its portrayer were hits with the show's audience.
I'll have to stop making these too easy for you all...

Know Digger quite well, so surprised I did not recognise him..............though I only met him 13 years ago or thereabouts.
I never thought of him. Would you believe I got his Autograph 57 years ago.
He came to the Milton Tennis Courts, with Tommy Sands, and Johnny O'keefe. Don't remember who else was there.
