The bloke in the pic was an engineer in the GMH Experimental Department for engines, chassis and brakes before leaving to follow a career in motor sport.
I am sure that'll narrow it down a bit.

That's right Dave.. the man we bananabenders knew as Frank for most of his life chose to be Knighted as Sir Francis in 1968, aged about 72; so I feel the photo is more Frank than Francis
