Google is a help sometimes but there are other avenues as well. In a game like this, participants are going to use any means at their disposal to get the right answer. Nothing wrong with that. We all have our ways of doing things. One tip, don't always rely heavily on Google !!!
Edward Sheriff Curtis was an ethnologist and photographer of the American West and of Native American peoples??

Gday...
Well, that killed a few hours on a quiet Saturday afternoon
As a result, I profer the following -
The photo inserted is apparently a "colour photograph reproduction" of a 1907 lithograph by Edward Curtis entitled - An Oasis in the Badlands, South Dakota which depicts Red Hawk (Cheta'-luta), a sub-chief of the Ogalala Sioux, who was born in 1854. Chief Red Hawk fought against George Armstrong Custer in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Red Hawk returned with Curtis thirty years later to the South Dakota Badlands, and he and his Sioux band staged mock battle scenes for Curtis camera. Curtis wanted to learn about Custers Last Stand from the Indian people. He rode over the battlefield with Red Hawk and other Sioux and Cheyenne warriors who had defeated Custer and recorded their descriptions of troop movement, Sioux strategy, and the final battle. Though controversial, Curtis works were praised for their beauty as well as for their preservation of Native American traditions, dress, and customs.
It is with some interest to see how successful THAT exercise was
