We had a emergency announcement over the tv a few minutes ago. This whole area of Vic is in for thunderstorms, heavy rain, floods and hailstorm sometime soon. I looked on the BOM site, they had put a warning up at 4.28pm. Tie everything down, keep out of waterways etc. So I rang the nomads out at Greens Lake to warn them. Give them time to tie it all down and take in awnings. Said it was covering the area from Swan Hill, Echuca, Bendigo, Shepparton and down to Castlemaine.
Saw that warning on BOM, funny how it stops at the border / river. No warning on the NSW side!
Currently 20 degrees at Lake Benanee, 40 degrees two days ago at Turlee Station and Mungo NP

None of it eventuated anyway although its still very grey and could still happen. Quite cool and a slight wind with the sun trying to creep through the grey clouds.

Blowing a gale here in Longford Tasmania. Has been all day and the wind chill factor is just a tad cool. It has been sunny though so it's not all doom and gloom

The weather here has been gorgeous - warm, sunny and no rain - and not too hot. But expected to be low to mid 30s for the next three or four days before cooling down.

Here in Longford at the moment the wind is starting to get up again but up till now it has been a glorious morning

Looks to be at least 38 today, got to that yesterday. Total fire ban for most of Victoria today. We had a large grass fire couple of days ago caused by sparks from a train, took quite a few fire appliances from different towns to contain it.
