My memory and your clue made me think that the photo looks like some images of Wyatt Earp, US lawman.

Spot on Ted, well done.
Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp was an American lawman and gambler in the American West, including Dodge City, Deadwood, and Tombstone. Earp took part in the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral, during which lawmen killed three outlaw Cochise County Cowboys.

Thanks Santa. A bit of something just now as I read, it seems the connection between Earp and Buntline pistols is not quite like it was shown to be in old TV shows.
I have a new image for naming, probably easy for some. Looks like a movie director, but not.
The last time that I saw Jackie Stewart on TV was an episode of "Top Gear", where Jackie was coaching James May how to drive faster, with his braking and out of corner acceleration techniques. A younger work colleague remarked about seeing that episode and said how this old bloke (unknown to my work mate) was telling James May how to drive.
I suppose you will have another for us.
Edit: oops, I forgot a short bio. See below:
Jackie Stewart-
Sir John Young Stewart is a British former Formula One racing driver from Scotland. Nicknamed the "Flying Scot", he competed in Formula One between 1965 and 1973, winning three World Drivers' Championships and twice finishing as runner-up over those nine seasons.

That's him BG. Who's next ?
Henry Silva was an American actor. A prolific character actor, Silva was a regular staple of international genre cinema, usually playing criminals or gangsters. His notable film appearances include ones in Ocean's 11, The Manchurian Candidate, Johnny Cool, Sharky's Machine, and Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai.
In Texas Bob Wills is still the King
I tried to find an obscure picture of Bob minus his hat and stories thinking it might be bit harder alas twas not
G'day Graham,
Spent quite a bit of time in Texas and enjoy country music, just unlucky I follow this thread.
Bit tied up at the moment, will post another image later today.

Its John Farrar. Can someone else put up a new picture, as I have a bit on at the moment.
John Clifford Farrar (/frr/ FAR-r; born 8 November 1946) is an Australian music producer, songwriter, arranger, singer, and guitarist. As a musician, Farrar is a former member of several rock and roll groups including The Mustangs (196364), The Strangers (196470), Marvin, Welch & Farrar (197073), and The Shadows (197376); in 1980 he released a solo eponymous album. As a songwriter and producer, he worked with Olivia Newton-John from 1971 through 1989. He wrote her U.S. number-one hit singles: "Have You Never Been Mellow" (1975), "You're the One That I Want" (1978 duet with John Travolta), "Hopelessly Devoted to You" (1978), and "Magic" (1980). He also produced the majority of her recorded material during that time including her number-one albums, If You Love Me, Let Me Know (1974), Have You Never Been Mellow (1975), and Olivia's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 (1982). He was a co-producer of the soundtrack for the film Grease (1978).
This one should be easy.
