Over the next two decades, Dench established herself as one of the most significant British theatre performers, working for the National Theatre Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company. She received critical acclaim for her work on television during this period, in the series A Fine Romance (19811984) and As Time Goes By (19922005), in both of which she held starring roles. Her film appearances were infrequent, and included supporting roles in major films, such as James Ivory's A Room with a View (1985), before she rose to international fame as M in GoldenEye (1995), a role she continued to play in eight James Bond films, until her final cameo appearance in Spectre (2015).
She certainly was, Tall and tan and young and lovely.

Morning Sheba, thought my "hint" would elicit the correct answer, it is indeed Helo Pinherio, The girl from Ipanema, ....... as a matter of interest she is now 77 years old, how time flies.
In 2001, the song's copyright owners (the heirs of the composers) sued Pinheiro for using the title of the song "Garota de Ipanema" as the name of her boutique.[4] In their complaint, they stated that her status as the inspiration for the song did not entitle her to use the title of the song commercially.
Public support was strongly in favor of Pinheiro. A press release by the composers, Jobim and de Moraes, that named Pinheiro as the original "girl from Ipanema" ("garota de Ipanema") was cited as evidence that they had intended to bestow this title on her. The court ruled in favor of Pinheiro.[5]

Thank's Sheba, all I was looking for was The Girl From Ipanema, I doubt many of us would have recognised the name Helo Pinherio.
H.G.Wells. Have to tell you, that I just discovered a way to identify him on the Net. If this disqualifies me, put up another one, and I promise I won't use this method again.

Morning Sheba, don't think the WHO IS THIS police are going to come knocking on your door.
I'm aware you can use image search to ID a photo, I've used it when completely stumped, however, if I use it don't post the answer.
Guess it's very much a personal thing, either way I don't feel it's a major issue.
Who do you have for us next?

This bloke is not really known for his association with cars. I am a bit disappointed with the quality of the photo.
I hope that it not too difficult to make the identification.
Wow Sandy. Very quick with that ID. I will give you the drum . You are correct, Ringo Starr.
Sir Richard Starkey[2]MBE[3] (born 7 July 1940), known professionally as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor who achieved international fame as the drummer for the Beatles. Starr occasionally sang lead vocals with the group, usually for one song on each album, including "Yellow Submarine" and "With a Little Help from My Friends". He also wrote and sang the Beatles songs "Don't Pass Me By" and "Octopus's Garden", and is credited as a co-writer of four others.
Starr was afflicted by life-threatening illnesses during childhood, with periods of prolonged hospitalisation. He briefly held a position with British Rail before securing an apprenticeship as a machinist at a Liverpool school equipment manufacturer. Soon afterwards, Starr became interested in the UK skifflecraze and developed a fervent admiration for the genre. In 1957, he co-founded his first band, the Eddie Clayton Skiffle Group, which earned several prestigious local bookings before the fad succumbed to American rock and roll around early 1958. When the Beatles formed in 1960, Starr was a member of another Liverpool group, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. After achieving moderate success in the UK and Hamburg, he quit the Hurricanes when he was asked to join the Beatles in August 1962, replacing Pete Best.
In addition to the Beatles' films, Starr has acted in numerous others. After the band's break-up in 1970, he released several successful singles including the US top-ten hit "It Don't Come Easy", and number ones "Photograph" and "You're Sixteen". His most successful UK single was "Back Off Boogaloo", which peaked at number two. He achieved commercial and critical success with his 1973 album Ringo, which was a top-ten release in both the UK and the US. Starr has featured in numerous documentaries, hosted television shows, narrated the first two series of the children's television program Thomas & Friends and portrayed "Mr. Conductor" during the first season of the PBS children's television series Shining Time Station. Since 1989, he has toured with thirteen variations of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band.
Starr's playing style, which emphasised feel over technical virtuosity, influenced many drummers to reconsider their playing from a compositional perspective. He also influenced various modern drumming techniques, such as the matched grip, tuning the drums lower, and using muffling devices on tonal rings.[4] In his opinion, his finest recorded performance was on the Beatles' "Rain".[5] In 1999, he was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame.[6] In 2011, Rolling Stone readers named him the fifth-greatest drummer of all time. He was inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a Beatle in 1988 and as a solo artist in 2015,[7] and appointed a Knight Bachelorin the 2018 New Year Honours for services to music.[8] In 2020, he was cited as the wealthiest drummer in the world, with a net worth of $350 million.[9]

Thanks watsea we recorded a lot of Parkinson in Australia, they were old episodes and it was good to see how young some of the people were and some that are not with us anymore and we had recently watched one of Ringo and his partner at the time, who knows with celebrities they may still be together. Glenn Shorrock was there as well just after breaking from the Little River Band and going out on his own.
Ok Who do you think this young fella grew up to be?
Rock Hudson (born Roy Harold Scherer Jr.; November 17, 1925 October 2, 1985) was an American actor. One of the most popular movie stars of his time, he had a screen career spanning more than three decades. A prominent heartthrob in the Golden Age of Hollywood, he achieved stardom with his role in Magnificent Obsession (1954),[2] followed by All That Heaven Allows (1955), and Giant (1956), for which he received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. Hudson also found continued success with a string of romantic comedies co-starring Doris Day: Pillow Talk (1959), Lover Come Back (1961), and Send Me No Flowers (1964). During the late 1960s, his films included Seconds (1966), Tobruk (1967), and Ice Station Zebra (1968). Unhappy with the film scripts he was offered,[3] Hudson turned to television and was a hit, starring in the popular mystery series McMillan & Wife (19711977). His last role was as a guest star on the fifth season (19841985) of the primetime ABC soap opera Dynasty, until AIDS-related illness made it impossible for him to continue.[3]
Although discreet regarding his sexual orientation, it was a known fact amongst Hudson's colleagues in the film industry that he was a gay man. In 1984, Hudson was diagnosed with AIDS. The following year, he became one of the first celebrities to disclose his AIDS diagnosis. Hudson was the first major celebrity to die from an AIDS-related illness, on October 2, 1985, at age 59.

Morning Sheba, thought my "hint" would elicit the correct answer, it is indeed Helo Pinherio, The girl from Ipanema, ....... as a matter of interest she is now 77 years old, how time flies.
Biography
At the age of 17, Pinheiro became the source of inspiration for the song "The Girl from Ipanema" when songwriters Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes saw her walking to the beach in Ipanema, her native neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro.[2]
Pinheiro became a Brazilian Playboy Playmate in 1987 and once again in 2003,[3] when she did a pictorial along with her daughter, Ticiane Pinheiro [pt].
She also appeared in the second season of The Amazing Race, for the Beach portion of the first Detour clue, and on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 12, for a modelling challenge in Brazil.
Girl from Ipanema legal case
In 2001, the song's copyright owners (the heirs of the composers) sued Pinheiro for using the title of the song "Garota de Ipanema" as the name of her boutique.[4] In their complaint, they stated that her status as the inspiration for the song did not entitle her to use the title of the song commercially.

Lets see how long this one will last.
Not too long. Winston Churchill.
Pretty slick Sheba, it is in fact Churchill, thought it may have proven more difficult than it did.
Perhaps you can offer a greater challenge.
Thanks Santa. Actually, I thought that one was very easy. Try this one.
Hmmmmm, don't see an image Sheba.
Don't know why not Santa. She's taking up 3/4 of the page here. Is any-one else having a problem seeing her ?
