If no one gets it by Midnight tonight, I'll put up another one, which is a closer shot, but might make it too easy.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Yeah Ozi but I think it's a bit unfair on Sheba so she should have another go.
I'm just hooking up the van, heading to the Grampians for a weeks R & R. Not sure what the internet coverage is like there, so I might have to leave you all in peace for a week.

Hi Gubby, well cant say that I know "where it is"but will start the ball rolling; Western New South Wales? ( or perhaps one of the ex NSW govt unfinished rail links)
Enjoy the Grampians, lovely area but watch out for the revenue raisers!

Hi All, Sorry I've taken so long. I'll give you a clue it's down South, (Not Tassie), and it was a very important part of the rail network. Here is another pic.
Hi Gubby, could it be located on the Adelaide to Melbourne rail link..........that once provided a "service" to the town?
cheers

I think I would classify that as close enough Ozi.
It's the station at serviceton on the Vic/SA border, where the trains used to have to stop due to the different gauges. Passengers would have to change trains to continue their journey.
At one end was the Victorian section with their ticketing and customs section, and at the other end was the South Australian ticketing and customs section.
Underneath their are cells for the transfer of prisoners.
So Ozi over to you .............

Hi Gerty, it is closer to Bendigo than Ballarat but the area where its located is not heavily populated......these days!
Today's final clue: it is named after a Royal personage, eg, The Prince of or someother royal title.
Its function was as a crusher and pump.
cheers,

Today's clue's: At the height of the goldrush 15000 people occupied the area, 5 breweries supplied the town ( thirsty lot), at the 2006 census only 476 people now live in the area. Claim to fame these days is tourism and annual antique fair.
If no one gets it by Midnight tonight, I'll put up another one, which is a closer shot, but might make it too easy.
