As for an agenda, I think its perfectly clear where I stand, it's not hidden - that is I am unwilling to stand by & say nothing when I perceive injustice, particularly that which appears to be born of racism. If you choose to call that an agenda - guilty as charged yer honour.
It is my view that many of the comments in this thread would never have been made if the central issue, once again, were not around an aboriginal person asserting themself . Some may wish to deny this is their agenda, but the bottom line is that every time any aboriginal says or does anything to assert themselves there are those waiting in the wings to spit venom & knock them back down, especially if it can be done in the guise of 'deniable feined reasonableness' .
We all have our views - all of those differing views could be called 'agendas', but accusations of someone having an agenda is usually made negatively as part of an attacking or defensive strategy.
I will stand by my principles & whilst I may not change the world, I will be comfortable knowing I've done what I can by speaking up. Think of that as an agenda if you wish, that's fine by me, but no need to try to beat me with it.

There were certainly some comments worthy of scrutiny on that sport.
Maybe the cricket didnt involve the indigenous history of any players.

My view is that the verse known as the Ode is the subject of all Australians who served. Notice there is no racial comment when we say the words of this verse. It is recited with full respect to all of those who served and did not return which may have included indigenous Australians, Other Australians Moris and White Kiwis Afghans and many others of European decent that signed up in Aus or NZ. I have not noticed that after all wars we have refused entry to Aus to any of those former opponents met on the battle field. The Vietnam war is a perfect modern day example as is our participation up in the Middle East. Thank goodness were are a compassionate lot. Now, back to the race card. This card is played and the entire game has been taught by antagonists and others who have something to feel they need to *win*. The Woke in regard to caring for our indigenous can not help themselves when with each situation the old deck of cards comes out. Did someone mention Black Power.
I ask one simple question.
What date do you Wokes have set so the rest of us, both indigenous and other colours and races in Australia can get on with our lives of unity without the constant interference of the them and us agenda.
For goodness sake just read some of the comments from our Aboriginal parliamentarians to see how even they consider the foolishness of this carry on.
I am like others who dont care about the Diamonds or any sports code that refuses sponsorship but that refusal is always the result of some selfish narcissistic action which penalises so many thousands of children and guess what Wokes, some of those very children are indigenous and some of them are even Newer Australians than those of convict descendants.
Even the girl concerned started in the junior ranks of the code.
We have hundreds of new arrivals in this country every month and what hope do they have of assimilation with you bunch of Wokes continually dividing us all.
For the good of our country just let it go. It will be a much better and more productive place when all Australians are encouraged to take the advantages offered to all, run with those advantages and make something of themselves.

This is all fantastic news that Gina has announced (and I totally agree with her correct decision as ALL sensible folk do).
And I also love the apparent "flow on effect" that it appears to have with other parties making those comments such as "we do not want sponsors for whatever their reasons are".
Latest one I read about is the Fremantle Council are currently considering cutting ties with fossil fuel companies and putting an end to any big-dollar advertising across the city. But, wait for it, they go on to say "we won't do so before at considering the effect this would have on local sports teams in the wake of "sportwashing" furores that have dominated recent news headlines. Yeah right 2 bob each way.
This along with the "little"group" of Docker supporters who want the Dockers to reconsider their link to Woodside Energy.
All in all, fantastic news as I stated above because, apart from less funding for these overpaid Primadona's (like most so called sports stars, including cricket cheats) think of the benefit to society if these so-called nasty industries etc. redirect their sponsorship dollars to worthwhile causes.
Too much oxygen time given to these whining minority groups.
Well done Gina Rinehart, you have correctly put in play something that has been needed for a long time.
