See it's been reported that Russia has used a weapon that delivers an extremely high temperature when it explodes that sucks all the air out from the surrounding area. This is not a "normally" used weapon. This is a real worry for everyone on this planet. What is going to be the next weapon used?

It depletes the air of oxygen, so you need to carry you own oxygen supply.
If you are a good Free Diver you may have better chances.

It sucks the air out of the victims lungs so I don't think that carrying oxygen would help.

So, a population of abt 41ml will have i guess abt 8-10ml men between 18 and 60. Add ammo and equipment. That's a hell of a lot of resistance. And it would seem they are united & resolute.

They are also being heavily supplied with the Stinger and Javelin missiles. I was reading about the Javelin and apparently it can be launched by a 12 year old. It can destroy a tank from 2.5 kilometres range and once fired autonomously hones in on the target. Once fired it does not need guiding, it is just a matter for the person firing it to reload and dispatch a bit more joy. They have been supplied with several thousand of these little numbers.
I don't think it would be too pleasant riding along in a tank convoy knowing that any tree or building might have a resistance fighter hiding ready to give you a bit of "how's your father" compliments of a missile.

Via The Guardian: Fire breaks out at Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. This sounds like Chernobyl, but on purpose:
A fire has broken out in Europe's largest nuclear power plant located in Zaporizhzhya, according to an announcement from the mayor of the nearby town of Enerhodar.
"As a result of continuous enemy shelling of buildings and units of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is on fire," Enerhodar Mayor Dmytro Orlov said on his Telegram channel, citing what he called a threat to world security. He did not give details, Reuters reports.
Orlov recorded a short video message which has now been shared my multiple local Ukrainian media outlets, urging Russian troops to immediately stop shelling the plant.
Orlov earlier said Ukrainian forces were battling Russian troops on the city's outskirts. and reported that a Russian military column was heading toward the nuclear plant. Loud shots and rocket fire were heard late Thursday.
According to a Telegram message posted by an employee at the plant, Russian troops fired at the nuclear facility. "Attention! Equipment of the Russian Federation is firing at the Zaporozhye NPP. There is a real threat of nuclear danger at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. We demand a ceasefire from heavy equipment at the Zaporozhye NPP!"
Ukrainian news agencies UNIAN and Hromadske also report that a fire has started at the nuclear power plant.
The city on the Dnieper River accounts for one-quarter of the country's power generation.

Luckily it seems ok, at this stage!
I just hope nuclear power stations are not weaponized in a underhanded manner, but I have very little hope.
As a result of the Chernobyl mishandling (aka FU) my relatives around Lake Constance had to dispose of all home grown produce. My Parents in Law grew & ate a lot from their garden. The best tasting food I have had anywhere, & I actually got on with PIL!
If the power station is blown up it will make Chernobyl look like a sunday picnic.
Luckily Australia hasn't got any proper nuclear power stations (Lucas Heights, but it is built on a fault line due to poor planning, another issue) which for arguments sake the Chinese could blow up & radiate Sydney... If it was near Melbourne, go for it!
The more we decentralize, the better the options we have.

It's a shame we couldn't have an exchange program between countries like they used to have with international students in my day. A student from overseas would study at an Australian school whilst one of ours would study overseas at the visiting student's school. It usually was a placement for about twelve months and had great results.
My idea would be for an exchange program using politicians. We could have an exchange with Russia where Motor Mouth went there and we could have one of theirs over here. I imagine it would only need to be in place for about a week or two and in that time he could completely stuff up the Russian political system causing it to totally collapse. The reciprocal damage done here by the visiting politician would be miniscule, if any at all, as MM has already done all the damage that one could possibly do here in Oz.
If things turned nasty over in Russia whilst MM was there we could have Air Force One on standby to take him to Hawaii.

Putin is doing what all the the other world's leaders couldn't do.
It has forced the German Chancellor Oalf Shultz to increase Germany's military spending on its forces by 113 Billion euros.
This will eventually make the EU the most powerful force in Europe, bigger than NATO.it will unite with one charismatic leader into the biggest ,military, religious political force in the world. And we all know what happens when Germany is in control in Europe.
