Still heading West - but also slightly north - in Boulia at the moment - behind the racecourse beside the Burke River - roast beef and vegies for dinner, followed by sweet biscuits with rosella jam and whipped cream for dessert - very yummy!!!! Love my BabyQ!
The landscape out this way is spectacular - and the birds fantastic - have seen, eagles, brolgas and lots more!
Off to Mt Isa on Saturday - meet back up with Mel, do a shop and then it is WESTWARD HO!!!!!!!

We have had a great two days in Boulia. Caught up on some housework today including checking oil and water. Everybody had their little jobs to do so we didn't get together for a chat till after 2pm.
Last night we enjoyed a beautiful meal put together by us all. Roast Beef with gravy, Roast potatoes and kumera, beans and carrots. Finished off with Lattice biscuits, Rosella jam and whipped cream. Then we sat out under the stars chatting later than usual as there was no mozzies or crocs to annoy us.
Tomorrow we head off to Mt Isa taking two days. 300 ks in one day is just tooooooo (7o's) much, so will break that trip in two. Will spend s couple of days in Mt Isa, will have to be a caravan park as no free camps. Will catch up on shopping, repairs, haircuts, and hopefully I can find an osteopath to do some work on my back.

Will keep on with this thread till we reach the border, but as it seems to be slipping well down the page I will start another one for the Northern Territory.
I hope everyone is enjoying our travels as much as we are. It's an experience I will never forget and maybe never get the chance to do again.

Yes wombat, there are certain places I will come back to again, not having seen it all this time e.g. Longreach. May never do the whole circle again though.
Next years plan is to go up the East Coat to Cooktown and then inland to the areas not included in this trip in a circle of Qld including Longreach on the end of the circle. If that makes sense.
