My sister had one of her c o c k e r spaniels de barked.
The poor girl (Dog) suffered from separation anxiety
and would bark insesantly when my sister went out. I could never do that to a dog.
The citronella anti bark collar I got for my boy works a treat.
When he barks he just gets a quick sqirt of citronella up his nose.
It also makes a noise. He soon learned not to bark when the collar was on.
He doesn't wear the collar at home. Only when we are in caravan parks.
Would hate to make bad neighbours.
So while the RSPCA might think this is cruel. I happen to think I
am being a responsible and considerate pet owner

I spent 4 months and travelled 16,000kms travelling with a labrador and a rottweiler x. it was an experiment to see how it would be to travel solo, indefinitely, as a 40something woman and 2 large dogs.
It was a huge success and my dogs were fantastic. I met so many wonderful folk, and many a conversation started due to how well my dogs behaved. Equally, I would argue that the longest they ever were left alone was 10 minutes, if I decided to shower in the caravan park facilities, as opposed to my caravan.
I observed far more issues with young children making a noise than any dogs.
There's a thing in life, Judith. It's called live and let live. I have huge consideration for all around me. And there's Nomad's that start to pack up at 5am, making noise etc. That's their choice. I prefer to let the camp wake up and go with the flow.
Maybe you should go with the flow too. And I'm the traveller that always has dog poo bags in her pocket. Dont judge me by what you don't know. It could be that I have to hit the road indefinitely next year. And my dogs will be quietly letting me know at night if there is someone stalking my caravan. But they are trained, they know quiet. Once I'm awake, they know Mum will take charge of any threat.
And my dogs and I dont have domestic arguments in the caravan, we don't slam doors and carry on. We dont crack the ****s over reversing the caravan or hitching it up. They trust me, I trust them.
Hehe, we're pretty damned cool ;)

Well, it's official. As of today. Plan A failed. Plan B is I sell my house n hit the road. I will just say that my big dogs sleep in the van with me. If there's a threat in the night, my rottie x will bark quietly to wake me up. So park near me, your van will be safe also!!!

I would but one of my little dogs is scared of big dogs and we'd all be awake all night

That's one word for her, I prefer the one that represents a badly behaved female dog which describes Judith to a tee. May I suggest everybody look at Judith's profile & member posts, Gerty is right.... she's a troll, all her posts have been to bag dogs and dog owners good or bad. I think this is the sort of member we don't want on these forums because she has nothing nice to say and therefore is of no use here or anywhere else for that matter.
Please Judith do one more post & put up a pic of yourself & your rig so I and others can avoid stopping where you are, because I for one would not like to associate with low life's such as yourself!.
IMHO Judith should be banned.

Perhaps you should have checked a few other facts before commenting yourself. This thread was started by Judith in 2013 and she has not appeared on the forum since July 2014.
