Loffty (my husband) and I would love to be there - as long as it's not the weekend of 12th and 13th November as we have prior commitments in Bendigo.
Are dogs allowed? would love to bring my little fella. Looking forward to meeting other fellow GN's

Sucastja, I've got yours and Lofftys names up and I am sure dogs are allowed, under control of course. Quite a few of the others have dogs too. It will be more than a weekend, and more than likely to be over 6th and 7th as a few are coming down from Qld at end of October.

Found anothr place we can spend some time at on your trip down here if you get bored with the same place. There is a beach on the Murray River just in from Strathmerton. My neighbour had offered to take me there when I first got Myrtle as he goes fishing there a lot. Never got the time. he just reminded me about it earlier today. You turn north just as you enter Strathmerton and head to the river about 11ks. He said there is a toilet block there and I thought he said showers. Will have to check that again. The only one I can see in My Camps 4 book is the one at Bearii which looks to be a bit further on and doens't mention toilets and showers. He said its a beautiful spot, lovely beach, great fishing, lots of birds and a freecamp. Strathmerton is not far along from Tocumwal.

About 42 ks along towards Swan Hill going from Echuca Bill. Myrtle will be there, if she plays up will get her taken there on the back of a tow truck. That'll show her.

Hey Marj - at this stage I am looking at spending about 10 - 12 days in your area - then heading down to Porepunkah, then Yea - then down "home" to see all down there, meet up with son in Reservoir and his family - don't intend to be back up here until first or second week December. So may call in again on the way up, will be leaving my van at either Porepunkah or Yea, and botting beds in Melbourne (I still own a house there - younger son lives there). Can drive back up here from the border with two nights on the road - so no problem there. Getting closer every day - gonna be a blast!!! Bring it on!!

Would love to organise a get together at Gunbower Island in the summer. Thats on the Murray Valley Highway just up from Echuca.
Having been checking it out for some months since my daughters brother in law made up a website about it. Just google Gunbower Island and see how pretty it is yourself.
Perhaps sometime after November would be best when it starts to warm up.
Will keep this thread running and open for anyone who may be interested.

Great Denni, Wonder how my doglet gets on with yours. She gets a bit excited around other dogs. Although they do say chi's only like chi's. Could be interesting. Look forward to meeting them and you of course.

I've always loved them. Finally got my first one in 1986. B'day present to myself.
He was a Black and Tan Reindeer type.
I've also had a "Blue", [dc'd] and now I only have Angel, since Devil was bitten by a snake a couple of months ago.
This is Angel, standing on one of the graves in the Pet Cemetary at my friends' place.
She was still grieving for Devil at the time. He and my "Blue" one are buried there.
