G'Day Chicken,
All of Tassie is interesting. The day we arrived the west coast was on fire, the east coast
was flooded. So we changed plans and visited Ulverston, Burnie ,Penguin and Waratah.
SWMBO family came from these areas back in early times, so it was all very exciting and interesting
and successful. Went to Sheffield, a really great spot to visit. Cathederal Mountain was closed due to fires and
smoke. Ross and Richmond are interesting towns with historical sites to visit. Port Arthur is very interesting.
Came up the east coast after visiting Hobart, Bicheno, St.Helens, bay of fires. Over to George Town and Low
Head. We are not geared for free camping as yet, but there are plenty available. 5 weeks wasn't long enough
to see all that we wanted, but we didn't rush just wandered along. We went to the Penny Farthing Races in
Evansdale, this was a really fun day. I have waffled on for too long, but Tassie is a great place to visit.
Just allow extra travelling time to get to places, as there are lots of hills.

Thank you Peterpan for that info. Quite a few years back we went to Tasmania for 7 weeks, but vowed to go back again someday. We are now planning to go for a good 3 months which we are looking forward to with great excitement - just have to wait for a few medical issues to be resolved. It sounds as though you had a great trip and only hope that ours, when we go will be just as good. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my request. All your stopovers are noted.
