Lovely 26 today. The night temps are still a bit brrr, but I'm not an early riser, so doesn't matter to me. High fire danger at this time of year.

I am currently in Renmark and it is cold, extremely windy (feels like I am going to take off!!!) and it rains every now and then. By the look of the radar it is going to last a while. The intermittent gales are so strong I have taken everything off the top ledge in case the pop top comes down!!! I think the trip to the Flinders Ranges is off and it will just be over to Broken Hill, Wentworth and home.

If you can still walk around inside with the pop-top down Esmeralda, it feels a lot safer and quieter to put the lid down. Good luck! SA can be really windy!

Beaut sunny day up here 26 degrees. Sorry to all the southerners who are experiencing terrible weather. Esmerelda I always pull the pop top down if the wind gets up, other than the rocking etc can also do damage to the cross arms and what ever else is there in the workings. Can warp the whole frame and make it difficult to get it to fit properly.

I put my poptop down at Cobb & Co for warmth. Worked a treat!
Beautiful day here too. Time we had some rain though. Bushfires around.

Can't walk around with the poptop down - too tall. I survived the night and didn't blow away - left Renmark this morning and it was still windy but the rain had stopped. I am now at Burra and it is very cold but the wind is OK.

enjoy that warmth - that's where I should be with these painful hips!!
and to think, we've planned a trip to the snow tomorrow - at this rate, won't even need to leave home!!

It's become very windy here today too. I had lunch at the bay with family and it was blowing a gale! Beautiful blue sky though. My Japanese sister-in-law always notes the blue blue sky..in Japan it's always grey.
22 today with a low of 5 expected tonight. Wind speed 24kph from the west.
