Thats why I'm not heading down there till November Beth.
We figured we had to make a start in October to see all we wanted to see and be home by mid December for family Xmas. It'll probably be November by the time we get to Gippsland anyway.

Sitting on the banks of the Barcoo now, 6.30 pm and the sun is just going down, around 28c today,clear blue sky's no clouds. Fire ready for a damper later after dinner(roast lamb tonight)". Beautiful sunny day after a chilly morning. The daytime temps are getting a little higher, but the col westerlies are on the way. We can always rely on the good old westerlies around Ekka time.

A lovely 24 here today. Beautiful sunny day, except for the smoke haze from bushfires to the east of me somewhere. I hope it's not near homes. I missed the news tonight.

At Rollingstone Beach north of Townsville - Clear blue skies, 24 deg. days with a light breeze. Perfect weather. Blanket nights, very mild mornings & evenings. A lot of campers here have extended their stay, partly because a nice park but the weather is great & most are now on their way south so hanging up here to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Weather is changing here in Biggenden, The wind got up last night and blew a gale before settling into a windy morning. Supposed to be like this for a few more days with rain predicted for early next week. Back up to hot temps by Wednesday.

Well, the bones have started to thaw out, thanks to mother nature and the lovely Townsville days. Townsville nights though are a bit chilly and my first night I was shivering, a big shock and not prepared for it BUT I am now and had a much warmer night last night.
