The van we have will do till at least the end of our next big trip. We will have to delay though, because of fires causing road closures in Victoria.

But...I intend having at least a few days at Inskip Point in March. Hopefully there'll be no cyclones around then.

It was Aussie Day 2013 as well my youngest daughters wedding day. We took our van up to Mt Tambourine to make a bit of a shake down and palace to stay so we could both enjoy the wedding.
Well it started to rain and blow a bit on Friday arvo as we were setting up, that it got heaver and the wind got stronger, but we settled down (tried) for the night. On Saturday was the wedding and it cleared a bit.
By the time of the wedding it started to rain lightly but later it got heaver. Sleep was very poor that night, but not as bad on Sunday night, after a tree nearly hit the van on Sunday night. as it had blown down beside us. The name that caused our cyclonic weather was Oswell.
But the next person had fun of a deferent kind at wedding.
Yes, my new son-in-law chucked a brown eye at the reception.

Not so much snacks as trying out fish & chips in various places, and hamburgers. So I can then say the hamburgers at the log cabin servo south of Gympie has the best hamburger around.
Too much fish & chips on my Victorian trip sent my cholesterol sky high, but I can't really name a favourite place.
The next person knows where to get the best fish & chips...

No, the best fish & chips is a bit of a subjective judgement.
However, when I was a little kid, the White Star Cafe in Wallsend was THE best, in my humble (and childish) opinion.
We would get tuppence worth of chips, with malt vinegar, wrapped in newspaper to eat on the way home.
I can still smell them!
Umm....like Pavlov's dog!

I certainly am, in fact, it's a bad hair week! I haven't been able to wash it under the shower because I have a dressing on my nose and another on my neck.
But never fear...son came and took me to the hairdresser who only charged me $5!

We were on a tight budget and had been travelling for a number of months, we drove into a well known beach town in Qld. There was a large sign in a Hair Salon that said I could get a haircut on a particular day of the week for only $10 (if I remember correctly or some other very very low amount of dollars) As I hadn't had a hair cut in some time I couldn't get there fast enough! When I came out, Pisces (who is usually very kind hearted) just looked at me and said "I hate to tell you this, but you definitely got a $10 haircut!" It didn't take all that long to grow out really! The moral of the story of course is beware of something that seems too good to be true etc etc

Yes I was. I was taken in by a big online sign saying, "The five foods you shouldn't eat and you will never get fat!" I went into the website and 15 minutes of painful listening later, I discovered it was promoting nothing but a bottle of pills.
But the person below me loves cooking and will share . . . .
