How about we remain on topic & leave the personal digs out of it.
So, Cuppa: what is your response to the ABC's failure to fully report this situation?
I believe they reported what was known, & what they didn't do was show the only other part of the story, the one sided video. I think it clear which news service was more balanced in their presentation. SKY made a big deal out of a lost temper, & ABC chose not to be so inflammatory. If there were more to know we would know it.
So Mike, how about you leave the personal digs out of any future conversations?

ONE MORE TIME - her behaviour shown on the video was certainly not appropriate for a Senator.
Absolutely, well, in my opinion anyway.
The question remains apart from Sky News and some other services reporting it, did OUR ABC report it as it should have been reported so that ALL AUSTRALIANS had access to the facts rather than us all receiving our news from what may be a service or services with a political agenda as *is claimed*, so as to discredit her and the ABC.
For the record this is *Not my claim*.
For the record I believe that OUR ABC is very poor value for money when it comes to equal and accurate reporting for ALL AUSTRALIANS,

The link to the ABC article provided by Cuppa is an attempt to deflect blame from where it belongs. Instead of focusing on the disgusting rant the article focuses on her blaming the PM. Even then, it hit the news a long time afterwards. There is no link to see and watch the vitriol that poured from her mouth. For that you need to pick a different news source.
ABC news at it again. As said by Mike, can you imagine the news headlines and endless repeats of the video content if such a racist and disgusting tirade came from a senator on the other side.
The video was obviously recorded by a bystander, not by Sky. Perhaps the bystander did not offer his/her video to the ABC? I expect that the ABC would not have reporters stationed inside or outside a strip club.

From what I can see, the word Blak was introduced by ABC. From listening to her rant I don't think that was what her words inferred.
Agreed.
Here Thorpe refers to "Black and brown trans women" in a Twitter post related to her previous rant:
Blame is most helpful, it forces people to take responsibility for their actions, otherwise they can do whatever they like and get away with it yet you seem to be encouraging that evasion.
Lidia had told her side of the story but it wasn't convincing to any but her followers.
The ABC *should* have reported in much more detail but it is clear they are running a political agenda and trying to cover up for their favourites as, I think Cuppa, you are doing on this thread. You're an intelligent man, do try to be more objective.
The ABC did report the full story. I think what you'll find is that the ABC refrains from personal judgments in its news stories, but leaves them for its opinion pieces.

Hi All, I am closing this topic as it is veering into politics. Please note that we do not allow political discussions on our forum. These ultimately end badly. We would like our forum to be a positive place to discuss the grey nomad lifestyle. Thanks, everyone. Best wishes, Cindy

The senator told a number of people they had a "small penis", and later that they were "marked".
"Any black man that stands with the f****** white little c*** like that, youse can all get f***** too," Senator Thorpe said in vision aired by 7 News.
The Australian reported the PM's comments on the incident in much the same way:
