Yeah, thanks guys, just can't get to town until next week, by then wont need them, my wife will though as she has it too now. Currently I have lost all taste and smell,everything tastes like water, literally no taste at all. Already had 4 boosters but the last one was 10 months ago.

So whats the point of having the 5th jab, when the evidence is clear that the jabs dont prevent you from getting Covid nor prevent tranmission of the virus.
The biggest con job was preformed on the worlds population. by media and governments just to control the population by telling lies, now it comes to light that one state government blew 2 million dollars on how to con the population to apply even greater dracoinian restrictions on the states population.

Got my taste back, but it is different, that is don't like the taste of coffee now, or spiced rum, my favourite tipple. Smell is back, but everything smells sweet. Hope it is not permanent.

Alexandra Martiniuk, a public health expert from the University of Sydney, said the uptick in emergency department presentations indicated the case numbers signalled a true increase.
There have been four waves of COVID in NSW since Omicron became the dominant variant at the beginning of 2022, each one smaller than the last.

genuine question because we have had few friends that have caught it, as we live in a caravan park which you could consider as fertile location for retransimission of the virus. considering the transient population.
By the by I do use tin foil for cooking never made a hat from it though.

We (my wife & I) know precisely where & how we caught it. After 2+ years of avoiding it altogether, by not being in any location where community transmission occurred, we caught it from a visitor here who arrived with no symptoms but developed them whilst here, & passed it on to my wife, we believe a day before before he developed symptoms as he isolated once symptoms developed 24-36 hours after his arrival. There were 7 others in group he arrived with, 3 of whom he had travelled from Brisbane with, by car. No other group members got sick. I became sick & tested positive 7 days after my wife. He believed he must have caught it whilst shopping in Cairns, without a mask, 2 days before arriving here.
It is not an experience I'd recommend to anyone. In my case it was 7 weeks before I was pretty much fully recovered. We were both tested negative on the day after the visitor tested positive, & were given our 5th shot (mistakenly we thought at the time it was our 4th). My wife's symptoms began 24 to 36 hours later & we think that the being so close to her vaccination that this may have made her symptoms worse.
Overall though, we choose to believe that things could have been far worse for both of us if we had not had previous vaccinations, & will continue to have vaccinations in the future as a safeguard.
If nothing else, I think our experience shows that transmission can vary between different folk, with some taking longer to get symptoms than others, and some 'getting lucky'. It is quite possible that there were symptom free carriers of the virus within the visitor group.

I think I got it from the RSM club, 2 weeks ago yesterday, or from the gym, I wasn't wearing a mask at the time intentionally as I actually wanted to get it, and the latest version, so I had better protection for future versions. Protection for the future from getting the virus is better then the vaccine protection, but I will have a 5th vaccine in 6 months though, as it all helps.

Both the wife and I, caught covid in Tamworth, while travelling
We will never know, who we caught it off, or how many others we passed it on to As I am led to believe that, you could be passing it on, two days before you get symptoms
Being responsible people, (although we did not have to), we went into isolation, so as not to spread it
The bottom line (for me), is that I would have been much better off, not catching it

I went to the free camp opposite the Tamworth Airport, on the Oxley Highway, about 8 K's from Tamworth
I stayed there for 10 days, as there is water and a dump point available
After 10 days, a RAT test showed that we were no longer positive
I then very slowly went to our daughters place in South Australia
Since covid started, I always carry enough food for at least 5 days
We went to the shops on about day 7 after the positive RAT test, which would have been day 9 after we had caught covid
We kept well away from other people between Tamworth and our daughters place, as she works in the health industry

Thanks for the information. We intend to go travelling in a couple months time and neither of us have had covid and I was wondering what we'd do if we caught it on the road. I guess it will depend, if, when, where and how sick.
We will get our 5th jab and flu shots before we go.

OK The powers that be have admitted that the vaccine does not stop you getting covid nor does it stop you spreading the virus around, but they say by having the jab it will help you not to get as sick as you might if you did not have the jab.
How do they work that out?
Especially when a lot of the numbers are no longer being recorded.
I still say that the 30 or so deaths in NSW a week is far too many.
It seems its just got too hard for the Govt to deal with now.

Is that not worth mentioning? or is not openly reporting it helpful? The information is there, just tucked away on the individual health websites. When it is reported its by state there's no consolidated figures for the whole country. Though I'm sure if you dig hard enough its there somewhere.
About vaccines. All I can say is more spin words from you. In a nutshell they are saying it does not protect you or anybody else from getting it. Unlike older vaccines. measles, mumps or tetanus. Perhaps it's this particular virus group that's the problem so it requires an entirely new definition of a vaccine.
I was pointing out that it is now only claimed that the vaccine stops you from getting as sick as you might if you happen to get it. As a supposedly vulnerable person, I would like to know the risks associated with mixing freely in the community, and how bad it really is or not. Is the risk of catching the virus worse than the risk of catching the flu? It would seem the consequences are worse, but are they?
