Someone put a few lovely words together since the passing of Queen Elizabeth 11, well done:
Phillip came to me today, and said it was time to go. I looked at him and smiled, as I whispered that "I know" I then turned and looked behind me, and seen I was asleep. All my Family were around me, and I could hear them weep. I gently touched each shoulder, with Phillip by my side. Then I turned away and walked, with My Angel guide. Phillip held my hand, as he lead the way, to a world where King's and Queens, are Monarch's every day. I was given a crown to wear or a Halo known by some. The difference is up here, they are worn by everyone. I felt a sense of peace, my reign had seen its end. 70 years I had served my Country, as the peoples friend. Thank you for the years, for all your time and love. Now I am one of two again, in our Palace up above.
Very nice.
That was absolutely beautiful.

Some amusing facts about The Queen you likely didn't know - the "Comments" are interesting too:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Can someone please explain the significance of the Queen (now passed), the King or any other member of the
British Royal Family in terms of the daily running of England, Australia and for that matter any other nations
of the Commonwealth.
I watched the various coverages of the mourning etc, a lot of English people were expressing the fact that
they will 'miss' her.
Please enlighten me as to how that is. For example, she had no input in the UK joining the EU. She had no
input in the UK leaving the EU, famously know as Brexit.
Other then a figurehead, is there any other functional purpose in having a King or Queen.
No wanting to make this a political discussion as we all know how much Cindy likes this, what is the
difference between carrying as we are albeit with a King instead of a Queen or becoming a Republic from
a day to day running of the country. We could still be part of the Commonwealth.

Have a listen to the thoughts of Jordan Peterson re the Queen and the monarchy, perhaps it will enlighten you to a degree, though I have my doubts, I suspect your mind is well and truly made up.

Thank you Santa for the video and the great explanation and insight into the monarchy and its position today with reference to other countries and to Great Britain.
Well worth the watch although I am afraid the message may go over the heads of a couple on here.

It's not about my mind being well and truly made up but more about the day to day input/function the members of the Royal family have
in the running of the country/countries.
This Youtube did nothing toward that other then tell what I already knew which is that Trump is a complete and utter anal orifice and the rest...
Nothing about the Queen/King as to how they fit in today. As per my previous example, no input in England joining the EU and few years later
Brexit.
Still waiting.

Surely we can wait with respect until she is buried before we begin to discuss how great our country will be under a republican system with someone like Peter Garrett at the helm.

A very big difference, in our current state our head of state is the reigning monarch, King of Australia King Charles the 3rd, the GG is a political appointment by the government who is the represents the King.
However becoming a republic the new head of state would be the president, what kind of president would you want one with the reserve powers like the GG and appointed by the government of the day or one like the American president who is elected by the voters. There is another option but heaven forbid I dont want to even think about that.
The most overiding question is, will Australia becoming a Republic better the daily lives of its citizens?

OK, this starting to make sense. If Australia was to become a Republic, in my view, it would require a model that is as close as what we've got since this works.
If it ain't broke why fix it. It's just as I thought, the monarch is a symbol/figurehead with no real input in the day to day running. So therefore wether the head of state
is a monarch or a president makes no difference to the average person in the street. They will still be able to drive a ute, still go to the pub and every now and then
vote for someone state or federal.
If we get the model right the daily lives of Australian citizen should be the same or better. Reality is, at the end of the day, from a day to day perspective there is
no difference.
Back a number of years ago, the King or Queen did run the country, not now. This is why I could not understand what all the fuss is/was about.
I still do not understand when people comment that they do not trust Charles the same as the Queen. To my basic way of thinking they
are one and the same.

That was part of the problem in the last referendum both sides of the political divide could not agree on the method to choose a president.
There are many things that would need to change and each would present difficulties and cost.

This is a debate we need to have, indeed it is inevitable, but may I suggest that out of respect for the feelings and sensitivities of many we hold it off until, at least, a few days after the Queen's funeral?
Give people a little time to grieve and adapt to change.

My questions were never about having this debate but simply trying to understand the mechanics.
Republic came up but was never a subject for debate at this point. Unfortunately I do not have another word
to use instead of. Perhaps XYZ as a neutral what ever this may be as an alternative.

Can't say that I totally agree with that Patrick. Along with her sister she had to be virtually dragged out of Buck House to stand and watch Diana's cortege passing and it took her a whole week before she visited Aberfan where a slag heap collapse killed 28 adults and 116 children. I have respect for her commitment to the job, but she didn't always get it right. She was after all, just a human being like the rest of us was she not????

I have never been a supporter of inherited privilege but I can appreciate a persons dedication to their calling, even if I disagree with the position that they hold.

You most certainly have. So now my point is:
It is a shame that you feel so threatened by a centuries old tradition that you couldnt raise enough respect within yourself to refrain from comment until after the funeral.
My point is pretty basic.
When I come across any funeral I refrain from personal input particularly if it is negative.
I am of the old school where I was taught not to interrupt funeral processions and to comply with all other customs regarding funerals and services in our society.
When anyone passes and it may be a person of whom you may not like or agree then then I personally hold my tongue out of respect.
Respect is something that comes from deep within and to disrespect anyone at their passing is a display of rudeness at its peak.
Your time to voice your opinion will come in good time but for now show some respect. It is not that hard.
So magnarc this is my point.
