I'm going to the milk bar now. Buying 1/2" Brittish fully auto machine gun. 10,000 round's of ammo, an RPG and 100 rounds of ammo for that.
Hand grenades are on special at Coles so will drop in there and grab a crate while I'm out.
Two dozen condoms,, 1 bottle of olive oil and a very big roll of Alfoil.
Be prepared is my motto.
Just a tad of sarcasm there.
old bloke that's the funniest thing out. I believe you are being conservative on your ammo requirements though, considering the old bren or vickers .303 machine gun cyclic rate was about 750rpm (rounds per minute for those who are not familiar with firearms) so right there you can see you are down to 10,000 divided by 750rpm equals as near as 13.3333333333 minutes of firing time, not long if there's a big war on. Hold off on the RPG's Aldi will be doing a special run, limited Aldi shop warranties re consumer protection though is what I'm hearing. If your married and have four kids it's ok to buy them a crate of hand grenades each too, as long as they understand they have to throw their own.
ps don't penny pinch, I buy extra virgin olive oil and top quality Alfoil

Id like to know where your assertion of 39 hours comes from. Capability is assessed every day and that capability is measured against a variety of scenarios. Are you talking defensive operations, or offensive? Are you talking air, ground, naval, or cyber operations?
And what is a military boffin? Do they have any influence on Australias strategic planning against likely future threats? Australia is too large a land mass to create a capability sufficient to prevent interdiction across national borders.

I'm off the get some "extra virgin olive oil". Lol
I don't need to adjust my mind. The fault is with reality.
Philosophers have had a field day with reality over the ages, Plato tells us "realism states that the visible world of particular things is a shifting exhibition, like shadows cast on a wall by the activities of their corresponding universal Ideas or Forms." most philosophers have tackled the concept.
If you contemplate the word each and every one of us have a different take on it, one persons reality is another's fantasy, we all see things differently.

The shooting sports are perhaps the most regulated of all sports in this country. In fact in 2019 there were only 4 accidental deaths, yet over 200 accidental drownings. I think these stat's from the ABS speak for them selves.
Descriptive stats are of no use when raw numbers are presented to compare two activities without information of the frequency. Im sure a lot more people go swimming, for example, than people with guns go shooting. ABS stats do not speak for themselves, they always need interpretation before simple numbers can be used to compare the relative risk and frequency of different activities.
Of course you are 100% correct. However Dorian referred to shooters as lunatics that should be hung.
Strongly suggesting its a dangerous sport involving psychopaths.
Since in 2007 after a government audit there were 731500 firearm licence holder in au. (And increasing) And these people are out shooting clays, or targets, or hunting regularly, I think it is pretty conclusive its a safe sport with only the sane involved.
I wonder if 50 x 731500 people are regular swimmers? 36 ml regular swimmers, I doubt it.
Yes, your 100% correct.

The way the Australian Government has handled vacine roll-out quarantine and aged care shows the Scovid Government is not capable of anything if uts not marketing related.

Afghanistan is showing how things can be fixed in days.
Broken boats hull made from Chinese metal not made to ISO standards, engine rooms bursting into flames, submarines leaking, vehicles falling over top too heavy, fixed wing needing two engines to go fast enough, rotary wing can't lift payload, bullet casing made from Chinese metal, nude military due to Chinese clothing falling apart. Soldiers shouting bang bang bang... as they are short of bullets.
Things are functioning well!

Australians are resisting the call to bare arms for the vaccine rollout so that the country can defend itself against COVID-19. What hope is there for these same people to bear arms against a human invader?

The one area the Australian Government is ahead on the game, is training a flock of Chook The Liar Bird to mimic guns & explosions instead mimicking battery drills & chainsaws.
At least Chook is Australian made!
