I'm impressed with the degree of improvisation and workmanship in most of the equipment displays in this thread. I do believe in having ready access to information and controls that are deemed useful to the driver. Practicality and convenience is a matter for the individual. Safety should always be paramount. Once familiarity is gained with a complicated environment, I find that the mind automatically excludes the trivia and concentrates on the important things like driving safely.
