Yes very sad news. John was a very active contributor who researched hundreds of subjects for us and provided informed comment/feedback.
John designed my avitar for me a few years ago when I came to this forum from the explore oz forum and made me feel welcome.
Condolences to John's family.

Just heard of Johns passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Greens Lake a few times. He was one of the old school, all ways willing to share his knowledge.
See you on the other side mate.

Unfortunately we never met Rocky but I valued his input on this forum. Fortunately his advice will remain here for anyone who seeks it.
We all will face death some time in the future as we age, get sick - the important thing is that we enjoy friends & family to the utmost. Make up where there has been division amongst family members & enjoy life as it comes, making the best of each day.
In the past couple of months, I've lost two friends to cancer - one who we travelled to Bladensburg NP at Easter & didn't let on about the pain he must have been suffering.
