Re (and the porpoise pool at Coolangatta,)
I collected the entry fee there in my early teens with a Coolangatta local mate when on school holidays.
And the adjacent snapper rocks where every so often a big wave would wash some fisherman into the sea.

When I was a young boy in short pants, my parents took my sister and I to a holiday house in Burleigh Heads for several years running. We caught the train to Southport then a bus to Burleigh. Had great fun there as a kid. Now I'm an old fella in short pants, I wouldn't go there again. Too expensive and Commercial, too much crime and drugs.

Thanks for the Vid Leo, Great memories.
I was there prior to any infrastructure, just a fence around the pools and I recall having to check to see if there were no large swimming items in the pool after large seas, I never did swim in the pools after dark.
