We spent a month in broome in 2012 and we would go back tomorrow. Prices no dearer than most places on the east coast.

The road was a bit rough a couple of years ago when we went there, DD.

Roads are good . Don't expect perfect due to distance etc . Locals are friendly !! It just seems commercialism and greed to some camping ground owners . We got good discount. I think it's value for money ? The other camping grounds could be different ? Some could be tired by the time they get to some of these places ?? What I can't work out is some stay in CG the whole time !! I guess that is a sign of stress and being tired ? Between couples even if they don't know it !!
