I used to chase prawns when it wasn,t the mack season, but didn't like the night work.I the good old days, they say. There are only 2 working pro fishers on Magnetic island now. Used to be dozens. Less stress doing it for fun.......

I think in the end he went out for twelve nights at a time, correct me if Id be wrong, I know nothing, I just remember bits and pieces of stories. His boat was probably the smallest in Townsville, a steel hulled 36 footer built in Geelong in the late 60's as a crayboat out of Barwon Heads.
